Minimum Volume (Pediatric): 3 mL whole blood; 1.5 mL plasma
Methodology: Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)
Standard Run Times: Twice a week
Turnaround Time: 7 days
Special Handling: Transport whole blood refrigerated. Centrifuge whole blood within 6 hours of collection and transfer plasma to a separate tube. Transport refrigerated. If transport is greater than 2 days, transport plasma frozen.
