| Description: |
Antiphospholipid syndrome is defined by the presence of antiphospholipid antibodies (Lupus anticoagulant and/or anticardiolipin antibodies and beta-2 GP1 antibodies) and thrombosis or recurrent pregnancy loss. |
| Indications: |
Thrombosis or recurrent pregnancy loss. Testing should be done on more than one occasion several weeks apart to exclude transient antiphospholipid antibodies (e.g., following viral infections). |
